Personally
There is so much that I am passionate about – I have bicycled throughout Europe and backpacked for months at a time in Mexico and Southeast Asia where I was continuously in awe of how profoundly simple and beautiful life is for so many. As well, I find the same opportunities for adventure and synchronicity wherever I reside, whether in bustling New York City or sunny and mellow Southern California – every day feels like an exciting journey and I am always reminded of how important it is to stay “awake” because I don’t want to miss any of it!
When I am not coaching, I spend my time taking classes in improvisational comedy and acting, going to see live music and shows, singing Karaoke and playing Rock Band, attending Buddhist meditation and other spiritual and writing retreats, playing Ultimate Frisbee, DANCE !!, running in the park and on the beach, singing and playing my guitar, taking weekend getaways, appreciating good food and drink with great friends, and, while in NYC, spending time with my 92 year old neighbor lady watching Jeopardy and drinking Sprite spritzers while learning how “not to sweat the small stuff”.
I am the former Director of OUTdancing (2001 – 2006), NYC’s premiere LGBT latin, ballroom, and swing dance program at Stepping Out Studios in Manhattan where I spent hours each day engaging in one of my passions of many years: DANCE!!
